Does CRT-motion-quality WUXGA (1920x1200) not exist yet?

I've been using a CRT for 10 years and it's great in all aspects, except for one problem, which is that I've sort of out-grown the 19in UXGA screen area.

What I need is a screen with the same image-motion-quality, that is no more than 1-2ms of ghosting and CRT-quality brightness/contrast, but larger. Doesn't matter what kind.

The only WUXGA screen with over 60hz I've found is the 85hz Philips Brilliance 240P4QPYE, but I guess that will have tons of blur.

I've been using a 24" asus IPS 1920x1200 for a few years now.
Granted i'm not a big gamer anymore, but it's not bad.
You kinda get used to 60hz, although I do miss my old 21" crt sometimes at 2048x1536

It'd be nice if 120Hz screens, or similar, were more common, but they aren't.
There are some specialty ones, but they go for big dollars.

The high hz screens with a backlight strobing mode should be very close to crt when it comes to motion clarity.

If the aspect ratio is a specific sticking point, then good luck I don't know of any. If it's a minimum and you're fine going to a wider screen if the pixel and absolute height are equal or greater, there's a ton of 1440p choices.

I doubt you are going to find a modern display with the contrast of a CRT. You have to keep in mind that CRT's produced black, or the absence of light, by not producing any light whereas digital displays use the trick of blocking light that is always produced.

Now, this might be reduced by segmented LED back lighting or something along those lines (not sure how organic LED works), but be prepared to be disappointed in the observed loss in contrast--especially if you sit the new replacement down beside the existing display.

You CRT people are so weird. Its like yeah cell phones are pretty good but beepers have better battery life so I'm gonna stick with my trusty old beeper.

Could get a 2560x1440 screen.

Yeah that seems to be the only real alternative right now. I guess I could use some hack to turn it into a 2304x1440 for those games that support it, and save some performance on the reduced pixel amount.

When it comes to OLED I guess it's still another 5 years or so until we get CRT-motion clarity OLED WUXGA screens for around 700$?

It's nothing like that. CRT's have far better black levels and contrast ratios than any LCD, great motion clarity, great color, and variable resolutions. They certainly have big downsides as well, just like every screen technology today, so it's ultimately just about priorities.

Yeah. I wouldn't want to put a 34" CRT on my desktop. :D

If there is 2 CRT monitors i would keep and use,Dells 19'' 1600x1200 was one beautiful monitor and the Sony FW900 was untouchable.Got one without a stand for $5 at a second hand store. Set it up on a couple 2x4 and it worked well.

The FW900 pumped enough heat into my room to consider a 24'' 1920x1200 panel.

The majority of CRT monitors should be illegal to use, carry and sell. The 60Hz ones should be all destroyed,i got one in my closet as a last resort and it gives me a migraine when i use it.

CRTs may still be better at some things but I will never own a monitor in the future that lacks VRR.

I've hated screen tearing since before I knew what it is, and never having to deal with it is worth the trade offs.

I loved my fifty pound viewsonic aperture grille CRT until about three years ago when it caught on fire and i had to hurry up and get it outside into the front yard.

After that I didn't like it as much.

OLED and plasma are both emissive technologies. But plasma was never brought down to monitor pixel sizes so OLED is the only choice.
