Has anyone seen them there? Id like a decent inexpensive cross cut shredder. They have them on the website, but dont know if they have them in the store. Has anyone seen them at the B&M?

Yes, they have a model for $79.99 which we bought. It's good but it does jam easily. So only insert a few pages at a time.

Yes.

I bought this one from a Costco B&M store.

I love it but you can't use it for more than 20 mins at a time. It overheats and turns itself off for an hour.

Actually last week they had a company wide thing that they had to pull all the shredders off the shelves and they are now Special Order items. Apparently someone was playing with one and injured themselves pretty bad... ;) But you could just call you rlocal store to make sure.

Yep that's the model we have. It definitely overheats and jams easily. Go easy on it with just a few pages at a time and no longer than 20 minutes.

Speaking of CostCo...

Is it worth the membership? If I join, will it enable me to avoid Wal-Mart/Sam's Club? :)

$80 is a bit steep for a paper shredder that jams if you put more than a few sheets in. Ours cost 1/3 that much. I doubt it's any better than the Costco one, but it sounds like it's at least just as good.

I saw a deal at Target I think, not sure if it was this week or last.

They have them, but they aren't cheap. If you want an inexpensive one, best to look elsewhere.

To be fair it says it accepts up to 8 sheets of paper. I was shredding 8 pieces of paper at a time for 20 minutes, nonstop. I was constantly feeding them in. I think any unit would probably overheat.

I have never had a problem with it jamming or the unit not working if I use it casually.

Trying to shred 34 years of documents took about 2 weeks. ;)
