About 6months back I put together a new comp. At the time I didn't even know of dual channel memory and I decided to go with the Cas2.5 XMS PC3200 512mb since it was like 15-20$ cheaper and could run at Cas2 at 200mz no problems.

Well pretty soon here I will upgrade my video card to a 9700or 9800 ,upgrade the CPU from the current 1800+TB and will grab another stick of memory for the dual channels to work on my EPOX 8RDA+ board. Well I can't seem to located that Cas2.5 anymore on there website. Can I still get that stick?

The difference between "LL" and "DDR" rated sticks is???

Worst case scenario is I will use the stick in a new comp and buy dual new sticks for it. Would rather not though. Help me out here.

XMS PC3200C2 @ Monarch
XMS PC3200C2 @ Googlegear
XMS PC3200C2 @ Newegg

From Corsair's notes, it looks like Cas 2 with 1 stick, Cas 2.5 with 2 sticks with slightly higher timings.

LL = Low Latency, which is just an incremental improvement over their previous XMS "DDR" or "C2". As demands and yields improved, they were able to successfully bin 2 lines at DDR400/PC3200. LL will go for slightly more as it is rated to do Cas 2-2-2-6-1T even with 2 sticks compared to the C2 versions that do 2-3-3-6-2T, but might need to run looser RAM timings with 2 sticks. TwinX is their response to dual-channel boards; its just 2 sticks of LL tested in dual-channel to ensure compatibility. It costs the same as LL and sometimes cheaper, so if you bought new sticks, it'd be the way to go.

You should be fine with the C2 listed in the links above. There were early reported issues though with C2 and nForce2 boards in dual-channel, you can read about known issues and get a more definitive answer from Ram Guy from the Official Corsair Tech forums at House of Help.

I would click on that link to Ram Guy and list out the part number on your RAM and ask him directly.....It should work to whatever the lower of the two operates at, but a $150+ gamble wouldn't be worth it IMO.

One thing you need to consider is if you bought ram 6 months ago and you're buying another stick today it may be rated the same but be a different chipset. Now from what I've read (Please guys correct me if I'm wrong) the chips have to be EXACTLY the same in order to run dual channel so keep that in mind, you may end up having to order two new sticks of memory.
