Does cool edit pro allow for audio comparisons?

I'm asking this because I'm obtained different samples of a particular song and I'm unable through the 'power of my hearing' tell the difference because I'm using my IBM's crappy built in speakers at the moment as my desktop is out of service ATM. So, I'm wondering, with cool edit pro, is there a way to compare the audio files to see which one is the best? By the looks of things they're all heavily compressed, I think... Bleh. Do I need pics of this?
