I have "Cool & Quiet" enabled on my OverClocked system and it doesn't seem to affect my benchmarks or games in any way.

In fact my system has better idle temps since I enable it (from 45 idle to 38 idle). Also power consumption is better (from 285 Watts on UPS to 227 Watts).

When idle the multiplier goes down to 5x making my system run @ 1,120 MHZ. Once I start a CPU intensive operation the multiplier goes all the way to 11x (2,464M<HZ). Also if I?m not mistaken the vcore voltage is also reduced and upped according CPU usage.

Yes it still works. All it does is drop the multiplier and voltage when there isn't a CPU load.

C&Q is useless to us DC people, but it's great for those who let their computer be a slacker for a living ;)

HT does rule for DC, but every WU, project, point, ect. goes to help with some worthy causes, it's good karma :light:
