Does CONTINENTAL US mean everything but Hawaii or does it also exclude Alaska

The 48 that touch each other are called 'contiguous'.
'Continental' includes Alaska.
The fact that a lot of people are wrong does not make them right.


You mean, like the U.S. government? The U.S. military excludes Alaska from term CONUS, which means continental United States (not contiguous). Alaska and Hawaii are OCONUS, outside continental United States.

Charge him extra shipping. I had a similar problem from an eBay auction and informed the buyer that I had to charge the full amount for shipping costs. She didn't squawk about it because it was far more easy for her to foresee the cost than I, just as in your situation.
