Does Comdex cost money this year?

I just went to register for Comdex and they want $50 for an exhibits pass. I haven't gone in a couple of years but it was always free when I registered. Did they start charging recently?

I just looked at my flyer and see that a new vendor has taken over control of comdex this year. They are charging a minimum of 50 dollars. I will not go on principle. I paid $100 last year and recieved something in exchange, a backpak. This vendor is not offering anything. Not to mention, the exhibetor list is pathetic, and the show is cut back by 2 days. They will find out in a hurry, they need to step up to attract the buying public, or this is just a getaway for sadsack yuppy technophyles that probably deserve a vacation from the stress of trying to keep their companies afloat in this dispicable economy.

I will wait for CES. At least it is entertaining.
