I have just bought a new 21 inch monitor, and am having problems trying to make horizontal lines, such as the top and bottom edges of windows, staight. My main problem is at the bottom of the windows desktop. I can make the outer egdges fit nicely to the dimensions of the screen, but in the middle the display bends by about 4mm towards the top.

I was just wondering if a new video card might solve this sort of problem. I have a Sony F500R and am using the onboard graphics control on my mother board. I wonder if purchasing a video card might help in getting the screen dimensions nice and straight?

The problem your talking about is normal for monitors, and is not affected by the video card. Just get it as strait as you can and don't worry about it, you will soon not even notice it ;).

I have a new monitor which also has an incurable corner. Still, I reckon it's par for the course these days.
