I ordered a magenta ink cartridge from a site and it messed up my printer. Not only does the magenta print wrong, the black is messed up too. Has anyone ever had good luck with cheap ink?

I have ordered probably over $200 worth of ink from www.inksell.com for my canon i860. it prints out %100 identical to the canon brand, and i'm talkin bout 300dpi covers for some dvd movies, as well as 4x6 photo prints, as well as 8x11 photo prints. the ink there is probably like 2/5 the price you pay in stores, its not dirt cheap like some other places.

i will never go back to brand name colors after using inksell , a HUGE thumbs up to them:thumbsup:

Well I tried a refill kit and it worked but print quality was VERY bad. I am now using a canon which has $7 refills for the official cartridge (S330 I think). I wouldn't bother with refills anyway :)

I bought one of the refill kits for just the black ink. Works like a charm. It has lasted me a long time, and looks just like the retail printer cartridges. I ordered some color ink on the cheap on fleabay, and it amazingly is not that bad.

hmm...I didnt pay too much less than retail. I paid around $9. I was ordering some other items from a website and decided to try this. I dont really care about the magenta color, I dont do much color printing, but I do alot of B&W printing. Stupid epson wont print a B&W page if its out of magenta ink.

heh, well cost per page is still lower the inkjet big time:)

eh, for cheap inks all the tests/roundups i've seen show em doing pretty poorly. means u can probably try getting away with say printing graphs or something, but not any photos. generic black for inkjet isn't a biggy, black output for inkjet is pretty poor in the first place.
