Does canned stuff ever go bad?

I have some canned corn and beans and stuff I was gonna use to make some chili but I think it's like 2 years old. No expiration date on the cans. Safe? or Death in aluminum?

If you eat it, you will probably die a evil death.

I probably wouldn't eat it unless it has an expiration date on it.

I've wondered the same thing.... Kinda scary to think about, but why the hell wouldn't they have any sort of expiration date, even as a sort of guideline...

Peanut butter (JIF) has no expiration date either and got me kinda confused.

make SURE they suck in (still have thier vacuum) when you open them and you should be fine

cans can go a couple years with no problem, as long as they are sealed

if they are bulging, DON'T OPEN THEM

if you aren't SURE they are still under vacuum when you open them, chuck them and head for Taco Bell

I wouldn't eat any canned food that is over 6 months old. Why take the chance and, really, how much does a can of beans or corn cost? If you are that hard up PM me with your address and I'll send you a CARE package.

Thats just plain wasteful. I'd bet you that 75% of the canned food you get at the grocery store is 6 months old before you buy it.

Most canned foods will last for years just fine.

I'm just asking the question, don't be such a dickhead.

If by "CARE package" you mean a hot chick who'll spend the whole week with me, doing whatever I want, then i'll take two please.
