Does "BX..." on Intel's processors # mean that it is retail boxed?

I bought a p3 800 processor that had the number BX80526F800256E from equal footing recently. I thought the "bx" at the beginning of the product id # meant that it was the retail version but when it came, it had no box or paperwork. Is my understanding of the bx in the product # right or wrong. If I am right, I need to get unripped off. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

That is the part# for a boxed cpu with heatsink/fan and 3 year warranty.
If they sent you oem and you ordered the other, then you have a beef, as long as that is what the site said when you ordered it.

Go to pricewatch and key that number in the search field...see what comes up. :Q
