Does brand name matter in SLI?

I ask because I have an eVGA 7800gt, and I got a pretty good offer on an XFX 7800gt. Do the different brands matter, or are they fine as long as they're both 7800gt??

yeah, but i think nvidia implemented mixing and matching a long time ago. So you must really be out of date if your drivers do not allow it 😉

I think you can mix and match to your heart's content now, as long as it's the same model.

Yes, you can mix & match brands, however, do yourself a favour and find a brand other than XFX. There's probably a reason why that offer on it is so good.
