does black computer case/plastic fade/change color?

I have an MS elite keyboard which is ~5 years old, it works ok still, but the keys have turned into that ratty 286 yellow color. Does the black colored stuff hold it's color better?

I have a black keyboard that I've been using 40+ hours per week for two years - no change. However, it does show dust and crumbs worse than the putty colored boards. 😱
