Does BBQ sauce expire?

Well, im debating wither i should spend some gas money to get a bottle of BBQ and loose my parking space. Or should i keep and use the BBQ we had in the cabin for over 2.5 years. Does BBQ get old and is this 2.5 years old BBQ still good to use?

The bottle doesnt have any dates on it. (jack daniels bbq sauce)

was it sealed? or do you mean in the fridge for 2.5 years?

if it is a sealed botttle, it is fine, buy gas/keep parking spot

it is fine, i guarantee it

Why would it? It doesn't have any eggs or dairy in it, and it's full of salt and other preservatives, which tend to kill any bacteria that try to grow there. Plus it's sealed.

It's fine, buy gas instead.

Why would it? It's a highly hypertonic solution which would kill any bacteria that tried to grow there, AND it's sealed.

You act like everyone would know that. If you don't have a background in science I would think that would be foreign information.

Let me put it this way. When all matter in the universe decays into an equilibrium of helium, there will still be blobs of BBQ sauce flying around.

Sorry, that wasn't intentional. edited.

I've kept open ketchup in the fridge for over 2 years and it stays fine. It has such a high acidity and salt content that nothing can survive. BBQ has similar amounts of both of those, if not higher in some cases.
