Does Battlefield 1942 have Single Player?

You can also download the demo and play a single player stage. You can't change the map though.

No, the Ai in single player is marginal at best.

But the single player part is only good for learning to fly.

Don't buy it for SP!
MP is where it's at it.

Wow, with the 1.2 patch. The bots are too hard now! When ever I get up in the air I get shot down a 30 seconds later. And I like how now the pilot takes damage to his health. I was killed flying a plane with near full armor left!

Oh and bots don't jump in and out of tanks anymore, and the rear gunners in the planes stay put, the whole flight through until your plane is 10% health.

i have BF1942 and i dont feel it is that good.....

i know it was made for the "FUN" element but i like games that have at least a bit of realism

I.e. when using sniper rifle and i shoot someone in the head i expect them to die but i shoot them in the kneck they die

I dont think, that is it that good.

Personally it is kind of boring after a while, although i have had some funny moments especially racing in the jeep

MP is just like SP except you play with real people. Whats better than that? I agree, SP is for practicing how to drive vehicles. I'm a little put off by this game, it's too slow pace.
