does battle.net support chatting (mics)?

hi all,

i'm going back to pc gaming just for starcraft! does anyone know if battle.net supports chatting via mics? I know a lot of players were using external voip services like ventrilo for chatting when i was still playing pc games years ago. just want to be able to chat with my teammates when playing 2v2 or 3v3 games is all i'm looking for.

I've never used the feature, and if I did voice chatting it'd probably be on vent, but it did seem to be there.

don't know if they do yet, i've been using steam voice chat for arena in WoW

There was an option for voice chat in the menu in the beta, but I never tried it myself. I'm pretty sure they will have something implemented in the full game, though.

You could make a party and use voice chat but not sure if it gives you automatic voice connection to your team.

Although no one uses it, Wow has voice chat so I'd say Blizzard will probably put it in SC2 as well.
