Does "ATOT Effect" exists anymore? Does anyone remember it?

I remember back in the early 2000's, if one of the members needed help with getting votes in a contest or something like that, he or she would come here and ask for the "ATOT Effect" and get hundreds of people to help out.

Do we have enough active members for this to exists anymore? I was trying to find the active user count and didn't see it. I know there's other posts here lamenting about the golden years when one could post something and have have trouble catching up refreshing the thread.

I think it was more percieved than real but in any case, nobody is attempting to use it today.

Those were interesting times. Most of them request on contest wherein anyone could go to a link and select a candidate to help them win/get more votes in a short period of time. Votes coming in from total strangers, just an on-line acquaintance. Of course other candidates who had lots of friends played the system too.

Hah that was a great effect...we used it on my mom's coworker to help her win a Hawaii vacation. She won & left us a nice audio recording of gratitude!

I think there's like 14 active members left here lol. Wouldn't be much of an effect, methinks...
