Does ATI still have driver problems? Maybe Tigerwoods 2003 is the culprit?

I've had my new machine (P4 2.4C, 1gig pc3200, radeon 9800NP) lock up on me a few times now. The audio will sometimes stutter and twice the screen froze, but with weird vertical lines going though it (i could still barely make out what was still on the screen). I played Star Trek ELite Force 2 straight through over a couple of days, and I didn't have any problems, but when I play Tiger Woods 2003 it freezes ALL the time, sometimes just on boot. I think this is probably an issue with the game, but since it happened a couple times outside of it I wasn't sure. Are the newest ATI drivers having any problems? Since I started a new job a month and a half ago, I haven't had any time to really read up on stuff anymore. I'm hoping my ATI purchase wasn't a mistake. I haven' treally had any other games to test it out with, maybe I'll reinstlal UT and see how that works.
