Does ATI have PureVideo equivalent?

Argh! I just ordered an X700 Pro then I decided to take another look at the article on PureVideo on this web site. I thought the first time I looked at it that there wasn't much of a difference. Ouch!
 
Does anyone know if ATI has improved Videoshader since the Anandtech article on Pure Video? The images from the Pure Video were smoother on people's shoulders.
