Does ASUS K55A (HM76) support 1.35V DDR3L?

Any idea if the ASUS K55A laptop series supports 1.35V/DDR3L? This specific laptop sports an HM76 chipset. The memory slots have 1.5V engraved on them, but I'm not sure it's definite.

Any idea what factors govern if 1.35V is supported or not? Is it the motherboard? BIOS? Chipset? CPU? A combination of these?

looks like it's be based on CPU
i'd be surprised if it didn't work (if it has a ddr3 slot it probably works [not counting servers that require ecc])

works with sandybridge/ivybridge, etc

shows it working with sandy/ivybridge, haswell, and atom 1200/centerton, and shark bay

Thanks. I suspect it would still need motherboard support, perhaps for proper voltage regulation.

ASUS support responded it's not supported, but I'm not convinced the one who responded knows what he's talking about. In some store specs I saw DDR3L mentioned. Can't count on store specs, but that's another data point.

If no one tried, I guess just checking it is in order. Some DDR3L modules, like Crucial's, specifically support both 1.35V and 1.5V, so getting them would be harmless.

I have 1.35/1.5V memory installed but I can't find a utility to report the actual running voltage of the memory. Can anyone suggest lesser known utilities that might do?

Any idea why no memory voltage is reported by the common utilities? Missing motherboard functionality? Or is it that these utilities don't support yet whatever hardware is responsible for reporting voltages on the K55A?
