Thanks for the help.

According to the A7N8X-X manual it doesn't support dual channel DDR. Had one but it wouldn't boot so NewEgg should be just receiving it via UPS. Bought a AOpen AK79D-400VN which does support dual channel DDR and does a decent job of overclocking, XP200+ at 2.08ghz at the moment.

Anyone know what the performance hit will be when compare to A7N8x-deluxe (dual channel)?

Here's a comparison that compares a dual-channel A7N8X to a single channel A7N8X-X: LostCircuits comparison article

Bigger picture: PELarson's experience seems to be cropping up a lot... these A7N8X-X's die or are DOA. I bought one, tested it for an evening with some UT2003 Demo, then packed it up and sent it to a friend, and it kicked the bucket on him. One other board you might look at, which is getting good remarks, is the Shuttle AN35N Ultra (dual-channel northbridge, basic southbridge) or there is the FIC AU13 (dual-channel northbridge, fancier southbridge).
