One dual-link DVI, One single-link DVI, 4 single-link (?) DisplayPorts

Well I did spend some time searching prior to my 7950 purchase I did check out that ASUS card. (ended up buying Gigabyte) There are reviews and Youtube videos running 30" screens with that ASUS card.

I can run my 40' TV off my dinky intel IGP off LapTop too at 1920 X 1200
but; can't go higer res.
I am going to have that infamous 27' (ACHIEVA) 27 IPS pannel.... so I have to make sure my GPU have Dual Link Dvi

Reviewers have run 2560*1600 off of those cards, is what he was getting at. The screen size is irrelevant.

I had read early on, shortly after release, that the DCII's dual link was "broken". I'm not sure if they fixed it. I've never seen any review sites since then complain. So, I assumed it has been.

No Intel board that I know of currently can do 2560x1600 via DVI. I've read some success story using DisplayPorts, and seeing that Mac mini driving 1440p screen via thunderbolt you may want to do some search on that if you want minimal hardware footprint.

Then again, HD 7970 is in no way "minimalistic" so I can't imagine it not supporting 2560x1600.

Besides, you don't really want to run 1440p/1600p with Intel IGP even if it works.
