Does arctic silver 3 wears off?

Does arctic silver 3 wears off and loose performance over time?

Mine is on since summer 2003 on my P4 system.

Some say it does. But as long as you regularly get the dust out of your system and your temps are alright then I would see no reason to change it.

Theoretically most heatsink greases can "pump" out from thermal cycling - the expensive and hard to work with ShinEtsu goop is supposed to hang around better than most. But as PorB said, if temps are good, don't worry - be happy...

it couldn't hurt to reapply, unless you broke something in the process. If your temps are fine for you though, just leave it alone.

nah apply once is enough. make sure you spread it out evenly and nicely amount of AS3

I won't touch anything since my temps are more than good.

That P4 2.4 C runs cool, barely reach 43 after 1 hour of hl2.
