Does applying for a credit card and getting denied hurt your credit?

I want to apply for a Plat. credit card, but I have only had my current card for a few months.
 
well having your credit checked too many times will hurt your credit, i don't think the fact you are accepted/denied will matter

But remember if your doing a personal credit check for your self then it has no affect on your credit score. But when you apply for a credit card that credit check does affect your score.
