It's not quite as pervasive, but iOS 9 and 10 added what's called Proactive Assistant which covers a lot of that sort of stuff. It got a ton better with iOS 10. Probably not as good as Google Now, but that's a philosophical difference in how much information each company wants to know about you. My read on it is that Apple wants to know that 1000 people frequented such and such a place in the last week. But they don't particularly care with 1000. Google wants to know that you, JimKiller, have been to these specific places, talking to these specific people, etc.I love Google now telling me the status of my shipped orders from gmail or how long my commute will be. I know Google now exists for iOS but does Apple do their own version of this?
No, they do not.
Even for stuff like basic voice searches, Google is much better than Siri, never mind Google Now's ability to be a virtual assistant.
Not to start a fanboy war but this surprises me that Google is ahead of Apple for once. Granted you can use Google Now for iOS so not really.
