Does Apple display pictures better than PC?

or just in my case?

Well I have an Apple eMac with 17" CRT and Ati Radeon 7500, a PC with 19" ViewSonic G90f and Ati Radeon 8500,

display the same picture, or use photoshop to handle the same file, I have a feeling that the picture looks better on

Apple. But I feel the text display on my PC is better than Mac. Am I wrong or something? Thanks.

The eMac has the advantage of having the monitor and video card basically fused together - Apple can colour-calibrate them for each other at the factory. Your PC, properly set up, should be just as good if not better than it.

Yeah, the color calibrations of the Mac are different, so it might look more appealing to your eyes in certain situations. There are may calibrations to choose from or you can custom calibrate it.

Do you have a color profile for your monitor? If you use that with a calibration program like Colorific it can make a huge difference.

Thanks dudes. I just remembered Viewsonic G90f came with a color calibration software CD but I never installed it. OK I think I will calibrate it tonight to see what happens. 🙂
