Does anyone wear daily-disposable contact lenses?

Does anyone wear daily-disposable contact lenses?

I've been wondering how costly this luxury would be.

I dispose of my contacts about every 2 months. I am getting tired of the nightly cleaning and storing. How much would the daily-disposable lenses set me back?

Where do you get yours?

Thanks.

I don't wear the "Daily's", but I wear disposables that last 2-4 weeks per pair. You don't HAVE to take them out and clean them nightly.

I get mine from my eye doctor. AcuVue2's

amish

I switched to glasses after years of disposables - it's just not healthy for your eyes to be deprived of oxygen

I dont wear daily disposables, but I get my contacts from here.

They list the price for daily disposables as
1-Day Acuvue 30 pack
Average Order Size
$106.00 for 4 Boxes (120 lenses) - $26.50 per box.

Ive had dailies for about 3 years now and I love em. When I get home at night, I just take em out and throw em on the ground.

I used to wear them for a year, but they were a bit costly so I switched over to the 2 week variety. I believe it was around $150 for a 3 month supply for me, the 2 week ones are about $40 for a 3 month supply for me. Dailies are real nice, very light on the eyes, feels as if nothing is there. 🙂

Another, less costly option, is to do the extended wear weekly variety. That's what I use, you put them in once and leave 'em in for a week and then throw them out. They are pretty comfortable too. Dailies would be nice but you gotta figure $1/day per eye.

I got mine at Kaiser. Focus Dailies. Now I'm using B&L OptimaFWs, still Kaiser. Costco and 1-800-Contacts also have them I believe.

Actually, i thought contacts let air through them? At least I know hard ones do, hence the name rigid gas permeable or something like that....I would assume soft ones do too. I dunno for sure though.

I've had extended wear (blue realistic looking.. girls love it) contacts for over a year.. almost two now.. I take them out every night and clean them before I wear them in the morning..
