Does anyone use the EMU 0404 USB? how bout with W7 x64?

evident

Looking to make this my main sound card. Seems like drivers for windows 7 64 bit are still in beta. has anyone used the emu 0404 usb successfully with this OS?

I had the 0202 and ran on 64 bit Vista for a couple of years. I believe the 0404 uses the same package.

There was occasionally some weirdness when it wouldn't detect properly, but usually unplugging / reconnecting the usb cable fixed that. It was when vista 64 was still pretty fresh to be honest.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I just installed Windows 7 x64, I also own the EMU0404USB. I've been putting off installing it for your reasons.

I'll try to plug and play it to see if it "just works". I'll try to do this tonight...

Well, I actually have the 0202 USB and after installing the most recent available drivers, windows 7pro can see the device and believes it is functioning properly. However, regardless of what usb port I use, I get absolutely no sound output. I've played around with every setting I could find in windows 7 as well as in the EMU gui.

Some people have gotten the 0202 to work, but it seems to be shotty at best. Ill just have to settle with my desktop's onboard sound I guess :/

just took out my sb x-fi to get ready to sell it. unfortunately, i'm missing a damn USB cable to hook up my emu 0404 usb to the machine, lol. to be continued...

update: w/ the beta drivers from oct 2010, it works fine with my headphones (sennheiser HD-595) under W7 x64.
