came across this and was wondering if people use it. evidently there is a new USB version that now adds game profiles etc. would look sweet opposite my boomslang 2000 in LAN fests, so wondering if AnandTechers were using it.

I've used the Belkin Nostromo n50, which is similar to that gamepad, and let me tell you...once you get used to the keyboard, that thing is so hard to use! I mean, if you like to try it, go right ahead, but it's going to be pretty hard to get used to IMO. I put that sucker up for auction and play CS now with my trusty old keyboard! :) Hope this helps or not helps.

I have a Nostromo 50 and I love it. Personally it only took me about two days till I had it down so I didn't have to think where I mapped the keys.

ojai00: I am interested to know, do you use the ASWD layout? how do you normally map your keys? I use the directional arrows and they keys around them so I am wondering if that makes a differance in how easy/hard it would be for people to adapt to.

I like to use the ASWD keys because that's how I learned to play. I mean, I suck, but it's still more comfortable for me :p

I'm glad to hear that you like the n50. It's a great gamepad,...just not for me. The macros that come with it are buggy, so I had to create my own for the guns, and they didn't work. The D-pad is also pretty uncomfortable. I programmed one button to crouch, and while sniping in CS, I'm unconsciously moving to the left or the right, depending on which key my finger is on. :disgust:

Well, enjoy! Hope I've cleared up some stuff for you.
