Thinking about picking one up and just wanted some opinions/reviews, good and bad

much appreciated

btw, will be using it for 4x6 prints and basic family pictures...nothing too serious

I would go for an A80 myself. 4mp versus 3.2 but its $50 more.

But i have an A40 now and love it

I have one, it's nice. Differences between it & the a70 are minor; 75 has a 1.8" lcd screen vs. 1.5" on the a70, has 9 autofocus points vs. 5, and can print directly to a canon printer with the feature.

I ust got this on Saturday. I love it. Fantastic pics, easy to use, I really love the movie mode. Can't go wrong with this, solid.

sorry but one more question...does anyone use kingston CF cards?....i know sandisk is slow and lexar is alright but never heard anyone really talk about kingston cards

what is this sandisk is slow BS? all cards are slow if you buy slow cards, Scandisk ultra 2s are the fastest CF cards out there 80x, any card will be fine, get one that does like 20x and you will be happy

Couldn't say, I can't find the power supply thingamabob for my printer 😱 They look great on screen though. I've seen better, but only from $$$$ cameras.

It has a larger LCD than the A80 and also takes bigger video.

I could use the larger LCD - the smaller flipout LCD on my A80, while being convenient, is just too damned small. The video doesn't matter to me, as all digital camera video blows compared to a camcorder anyway.

Other than that, and the difference in megapixels, there's not much difference.
