Does anyone use ICQ anymore?

No. I'm sure people in other parts of the world such as China use it a lot (like our AIM and MSN) though.

not me I started one day, but everyone I know was on msn, so I realized it was kinda pointless to have the client installed

Not really. ICQ was so damn big back in the day, but MSN slowly took over by integrating their hotmail and passport info into msn, making it easy to sign up. Now fewer people use ICQ. Almost reminds me of when Netscape was the #1 browser for a while and the IE snuck up on them and took over. Microsoft sure has a way of coming out on top.

ICQ 4 life, lol. Every other place in the world uses it, just not the US. If I want to talk to my international friends I have to use ICQ.

A little bit 2 year ago. I don't do much interm of chat any longer, and at the moment am trying out Skype (kazza phone client)...and looking for someone to test it out with.

ICQ was good but turned into massive bloat. I have never seen so many features that no one ever wanted (other than in a Microsoft product of course 😉 )

You realize each program only loads ~10MBs each right? Anyone with 256MB or more wouldn't even notice. And considering that 256MB costs about $20 bucks nowadays....

I gave up and switched to MSN (I feel so dirty). Never would have done it on my own, but you've got to go where the people are! I held out on ICQ as long as I could, but got tired of chatting with that one friend who still uses it.
