Does anyone run their 60mm Delta off the CUSL2 fan header??

I decided to plug the fan into the motherboard today, after running through a 4-pin connector since I got the fan.
Since no smoke is pouring out I'm assuming the CUSL2 can handle the 3.6W? Delta(it says the CUSL2 headers can handle 4.2W in the manual).
Has anyone cooked their headers after prolonged running of the fan on this board, or is it safe? Just wondering if I should fix my 3-pin adapter and get the Delta running straight off the power supply again.

Just wondering, but why does it matter if it is ran off the motherboard or PSU? RPM monitoring???? LOL. :)

Well this fan needs a lot of juice to run, and most motherboards can't put out enough. So their fan headers just burn out.
I don't care about the rpm monitoring, but my adapter broke, so I'm hoping I can get away with running this fan off the motherboard. :)
