i have a win 98 workstation here at work that needs to have the old user login/passwords taken off as well as like office user name stuff. i remember there was some registry hack/fix for this but cant remember what it was. any ideas????😉

will that do anything with the user names (i.e., "log off registered user)? thanks for the tip though i just del'd all *.pwl files. any other ideas?

the office registered user, as well as the windows registered user, are stored in the registry.
i wouldn't screw with it unless you know what you're doing. 😉

for the win98 users. When you startup, if asked for password hit cancel. Go to passwords control panel an check all users use same desktop. You can also go into users control panel and delete user profiles. If you need to do this for security reasons then you have to fdisk the harddrive and start from a clean install.
