Does anyone remember this game? (old school)

I had it back in like '86 or '87. I think it was called "Amnesia" and you just typed in all the commands and it described all your surroundings to you.

I was addicted to this game back in those days. 🙂

I don't know anything about the game, but from your description it sounds like a text adventure game like the Zork series.

Just do a search for text adventure games somewhere and you should find some info.

I'd have to say Zork also. Now that I look back at playing games like that, I feel like I wasted away part of my life. Oh well, time to play more games!

Yep, sounds like an Infocom game http://www.csd.uwo.ca/Infocom/ you can download a lot of them now. Or it could be one of the Scott Adams(?) 'Adventure' games. I remember playing 'Suspect' forever.

I haven't played much of it personally but I had a friend who had it for his Apple IIe and showed me it once. It was kinda kewl

Those words........."text" and "adventure" just don't seem to belong in the same sentence anymore, but I remember those days. I used to be a big Commodore Vic20 and 64 buff in my early years.... I played a couple of them, but I never spent the time to figure them out all the way.... Too confusing for the feeble minded.

Yeah text adventure games on the Apple IIe used to rock. Those old Zork games bring back fond memories. The problem was that there was no internet back then so if you got stuck with something (the Zork series were tough to crack) you were pretty much on your own.
