The humor in this series may be a bit on-color for a few people, as it was for some back in 1972. There are many blatant and subtle jabs at the white guys, who are portrayed as confusingly out of touch with the Sanford's neighborhood, mostly made by Fred who is just crumudgenly enough to pull it off without being offensive. If you enjoy "All in the Family," this humor should be right up your back alley. There is an "N" bomb dropped in the series pilot (that's the word "n*****" for those who might not know), but I suspect the popularity of the series caused producers to have writers cut back on such colorful phrases.
