Does anyone remember the "Tripod" books?

If I recall correctly they were written by a guy named Jon Christopher. I read the first three when I was in sixth grade, but I never could find the last one. Now I've always wondered what happened. I wonder if it would be worth it to track it down, or if it would be too "kiddy". I don't really remember because I was a kid when I read the others Has anyone read these, and can fill me in?

There were only three books:

The White Mountains
The City of Lead and Gold
Something..... I don't remember

Basically, the 2nd is where it is an in-depth narration of one of the alien cities, where the protagonist eventually escapes
the third is where they blow up the three cities, avoiding the destruction of earth

I think the last one is "The Pool of Fire" or something like that. The very first one was "When the Tripods Came". It wasn't really part of the trilogy, but it set things up for it. Thanks for filling me in

I remember wanting to read them, but I never got around to it. Maybe I will go look them up.

we read some of them in 5th grade. I know i loved them, but i never did finish the series

Ooh ooh, I do I do! I loved the BBC show, and when it was finished prematurely I read the books !
