Does anyone remember the days of the Geforce 256

I remember playing Zork in monochrome. Starflight in CGA was the shiznit. Then I remember playing Bard's Tale in EGA. Then VGA came out, wooo buddy, spent $400 for a Renaisance card and the game was Starflight 2.

With all the cash I've thrown down on computers over the years, I could have retired by now.

I'm running an Elsa Erazor Geforce 256 SDR in a rig now. Its in there until I get a GF3 back that I loaned to a friend. It had developed some weird banding effect, most noticeable on anything black displayed on the screen, at which point it smears a shadow of the black to the right of the image. Checking the card out I noticed it had a 5 year warranty (!!) and was still covered. Unfortunately, checking the Elsa website and its online RMA setup resulted in no drop down menu selection for my card. Bottom line, it makes for a good test card in a PC.

Ohh, and my first card ?? Wow .... was a 386/20 PC, so I'm guessing a Diamond Stealth ?
