Does anyone remember a news story about a kid who got eaten by a mountain lion?

Supposedly a teacher or community leader, or someone said that they should have let the mountain lion finish eating the kid.

I heard about this and I told a coworker, but he's calling BS. I searched on Google but couldn't find anything. Does anyone perchance know if the story is real or not? Have a link?
