Lots of die hards(I'm not there yet), route their own track on large boards and make their own track exactly how they want. The problem with that is you can never change the layout again, but they're much more customizable.
The brand that I use, Scalextric, is coming out with new Digital track that allows you to change lanes on command and run up to 6 cars in each lane. So 12 cars on track, with cross-overs every 5 feet or so, would make a pretty fun racing experience. The only problem is having faster cars crushing you from behind when racing in the same groove. I'm still gonna upgrade to it though. 🙂

Another option is to get some MiniZ cars. They're radio controlled. Build your own track in the basement.
That's true, but those are wayyy too slow. 😉 hehe :thumbsup:
Not that slow right? The local hobby shop here have real racers with them. Supposed to be lots of mods for them too.
