Last night I was playing Chinese poker and there was an argument regarding the rank of flushes.
I say: When comparing two flushes, you compare the highest cards within the flushes to see which one takes rank. Example: A flush of low diamonds with a 2 thrown in beats a flush of high spades with a King as the highest.
They say: You compare the suits first, before comparing cards within. In the example above, the flush of spades will beat the flush of diamonds because spades rank higher, regardless of the 2 of diamonds.
Both of us say we've seen playing the respective ways forever. How do you guys play?
