Does anyone own one of these Yahoo DVD players?

That's pretty cool that it has volume and bitrate meters... pretty useless, but cool nonetheless. 🙂 I think it looks pretty cool... futuristic.

I remember when that came out - IIRC, one of its big features is that it plays MP3 DVDs - 4+GB of MP3s on a single DVD.

heheh... the design sort of reminds me of the old Pontiac Bonnevilles 😛

it supports DIVX though... that's the main reason I want one... *drool*

not that i have a CD binder full of DIVX movies or anything.

Oh, and if you're just looking for a standalone Divx player, there are cheaper alternatives. Philips has one for <$60, and I think there's one in hotdeals right now for $40 - $10MIR = $30.

Yeah, the gauges make it look like an old-school car dash (from the era when they tried to make everything look futuristic with the fins and whatnot)

wow, that's a fantastic deal.

bump for evening visitors of our fine community

i'm going to get a DIVX-compatible player of some sort. just not sure which one.

It's supposed to be good for midrange quality, but the lack of optical jacks and DTS support is the thing that I don't like. The bitrate meter is supposed to be useless. On the other hand, I do like the IR transmitter, so you can use wireless headphones with it. I wonder if it would work with surround sound headphones?
