Does anyone own a pair of New Balance 992's?

I like New Balance, but these things are like 135 bucks, and they don't seem to have anything special about them. Heck, they look like a regular old New Balance shoe.

What's the deal with these?

Yeah, NB is pretty comfortable for running, better than my newer adidas, but I dunno, seems like the 992 are way overpriced. I got 891's at the store yesterday.

I have a pair of 992s. Had a nice one-time coupon for them or I wouldnt have spent the money. They were still overpriced. Not holding up well at all.

I paid 120 for em, so far they've been pretty good. I went on a 5K walk, and a probably put around 3 miles on them aside from that. They're really comfy to wear, give good support on the heel which is what I wanted.

I'd stick to something that lasts.

Spoken from someone who probably has never tried a pair of New Balance shoes.

Some of the best fitting shoes I've ever had. I just recently replaced my old pair. They are at least 6 years old. The soles are just starting to come loose from the bottom of the shoe. Now my mowing shoes. 😉

If you need a stability shoe and are a larger framed runner, look into the Beast by Brooks and the Gel Evolution by Asics.

How tall & heavy are you?

True.

Interesting...I need a new pair of running shoes, maybe I'll look into New Balance.

Thnx to you as well Aquaman.

They seem like a great M shoe. I have feet as flat as you can get and try the 992's out in the store every time I buy new running shoes. Just based on the few minutes I wear them, they feel great.

Alas, I can't bring myself to spend $135 on running shoes 🙁

Yeah bomb is right, I have really flat feet (hardly any arch) and it's like heaven when I put the 992's on. 😉
