Does anyone make taser-proof vests?

Should be easy enough to dissipate the charge from the taser.

You'd only need to weave a few modified threads into the material - the clothing wouldn't need to look or feel signficantly different from normal clothing.

Perhaps I could explot what could be a valuable market niche...

And then after you continue walking towards police after being tasered, they fire 9mm slugs into your "taserproof" vest and kill you.

Qft. Or perhaps you'd prefer being maced/peppersprayed?

if u want to try, I think body armor has some resistance.. i got both.. i need a test subject...

willing to get tased for this thread ? please PM me.. i'm in nyc

i guess depending if you use pulse or dart like electrodes...

Modern taser-type weapons fire small dart-like electrodes with attached metal wires that connect to the gun, propelled by small gas charges similar to some air rifle propellants. The maximum range is up to 10 meters (30 feet). Earlier models of Taser needed the dart-like electrodes to embed in the skin and superficial muscle tissues layers; newer versions of the projectiles use a shaped pulse / arc of electricity which disrupt nerve and muscle function without needing the metal prongs on the projectile to penetrate the skin. Early models had difficulty in penetrating thick clothing, but the `pulse' models are designed to bring down a subject wearing up to a Level III body armor vest.

Did the law change in NY? Last I knew, it was illegal to own tasers.
To the OP: it'd be very simple to make an undergarment: use thin aluminum window screen, run a ground wire down through your pants to the sole of your shoes. Remember, as you're walking toward the police and they hit you with the taser, start mumbling something like "Yes, Power-ups! Time for level twooooooo" Then start making weird musical sounds like when Mario in super-mario brothers gets a power up. Continue making really weird noises, then tap your forehead a few times and mutter quite loudly, "Invincibility cheat code entered! I'm now invincible!!"

Maybe I am not understanding the question, but wouldn't a taser proof vest be anything that the barbs could not penetrate?
