I'm trying to make things nice and pretty inside my windowed lian-li case...and it would to my advantage to have significantly shorter cables than standard. I'm talking from a range of 4" to 10". Is this possible and does anyone know of someone who does this?

it's not hard to do it yourself,
have you ever pulled one apart that was in real tight?
take the connector apart and cut the cable nice and square, then crimp the connector back on real straight

They sell rolls of that ribbon cable but it's not exactly easy to do I'm guessing.

For years I have made custom cables. Several places sell the IDC crimping tool -- Cyberguys sell one for $16 -- and rolls of the flat cable. I figured I would never use up a 100 foot roll, so I bought 25 feet of each size at a local electronic supply place. The one crimping tool -- actually just a hand operated press to force the connector contact through the cable -- works on all sizes of connectors.

You don't need a crimping tool. You can press the connector together with your bare hands. If you're a wuss you can use a vice. There's really nothing to it at all. Just go to mouser.com or jameco.com and you can buy lots of connectors and ribbon cable.

And I think microcenter might sell the stuff you need too but I'm not at all certain.
