Does anyone know why PS1 games would look all jittery and wierd on a PS2?

When we boot up ps1 games in the ps2 the screen is all flickery and strange.. ps2 games look perfect.

Does anyone else have this problem?

no but I think ur just looking at the way PS1 games always looked You're just spoiled by the PS2's beauty

I seem to recall that there was a way with the PS2 to set it to a certain mode to increase compatibility with PS1 games...

I think that affected loading times as well... hmmm... PS1 games actually look better on the Dreamcast than they do on the PS2...

I think its called bleemcast or something along those lines.

That be the one. It's only for a few games, Tekken 3, Gran Turismo and Metal Gear IIRC.

How do you go about changing modes?

And to PoPPer.. no.. its has nothing to do with graphics. The whole screen jitters around, its not a stable picture at all. Things look fine with my ps1, but on a friends ps2 the whole screen jumps around.
