The KK266 mobo in the system I just built has a dead AGP slot. Either that or it has problems, because with a card in it, you can see the bios post, but as soon as Windows goes to switch over to whatever card/resolution is in there , the screen goes black. Sheesh; and i thought the BSOD was bad. Now we have the NBSOD. New Black Screen of Death! LOL. Any info would be appreciated, as Iwill's website has almost zero tech support. Under "display probs" they have:
....yes, to want to be working in the graphics area, VIA drivers of 4 into 1 must to be installed" Broken English about the VIAs but nothing about AGP slots or known bad boards.
I'm the type that only has to get burnt by a particular manufacturer just once, and I'll never buy from them again. Scratch Iwill off my list, please.
