I remember seeing a PC version once at Future Shop. That was many years ago.

I have it lying around here somewhere. I'll see what I can do for ya Kendogg :)

Only thing that sucks is when you die, you can't type stuff in on the gravestones like in the old Apple IIe version. Nothing beat dying on purpose and putting up someone's name you hate so everyone who drove by saw it :)

I have Oregon Trail 2 for PC sitting around. It's pretty cool. But all I do is buy some guns and shoot animals:)

This is weird. I never heard of this game, and just today in the mail I get a catalog from Mattel Interactive that has it.

They're selling Oregon Trail 4th edition (Win95/98 and PowerMac) for $39.95. www.mattelinteractive.com if you get desperate.

I believe you can find the original out there in the emulation scene (search - I don't have a link). I was a big Apple ][ user and got nostalgic once. I found the emulator and some games. It works the same way as it used to: with Applesoft commands (CATALOG, BRUN, etc...).

It was fun for a little while, but it didn't take long for the magic to be lost. I can't imagine how I would have spent so many hours playing such simple, monochromatic games. I guess that was the state of the art (then).

My how things have changed.
