Does anyone know where I can find the wav files from Sim City?

Here's the deal: We have a software program here called Intermapper that shows the current network status. Whenever there's a network outage, it plays the warning alarm from Sim City....whenever a network connection is restored, there's the sound of a crowd cheering. I did a few searches on google and couldn't come back with anything. Anyone know of a good site to find wav files like that?

(I did install my old copy of Sim City 2000, but it was the dos version and wouldn't run on XP no matter what I tried)

arent't the raw files on the cd? (don't install, just look through the cd directories)

i have a copy of streets of sim city and there is a sound directory full of .wav files

I only have the old disk version. Takes up 2 floppies. This is an OLD copy of the software. I haven't run it for years. 🙁

They have the sounds on the Sim City 2000 CD and when you install (if you did the complete install). I think they are identical to the original Sim City sounds. Ill check when I get home if you still havnt got them.

I remember hearing them on 2k. I don't know if they recycled their audio.

On a totally unrelated note. I think our Metronet connection is finally working!!! I just started a download and it's coming in at a steady 300kb/sec. It's a 100M Link! 😀
