Does anyone know what "verifying DMI pool data" means?

I have a ECS Elitegroup KT600-A motherboard. When I start up my computer everything performs normally until it comes to a screen that says "Verifying DMI Pool Data ............." and then it just freezes there without loading my operating system. My computer was working just fine in the morning and i know it's not a hardware problem because all my drives show up in the BIOS. Could it be that i uninstalled a program or driver that was needed for my operating system to boot? And if that's the problem how can i reinstall those programs or drivers if i cant get to my operating system? Please help.

You're not stuck IN verifying the DMI pool data, you're stuck AFTER that. Typically that's because your hard disk still is flagged bootable, but doesn not actually contain a working bootloader.

Simply reinstall your operating system with your install disk. Note that reinstalling your OS and formatting are NOT the same thing!

I've often found it means I've overclocked too much. I've seen the OS stop loading around that point from Heat, multiplier, FSB, Ram issues.

Just remember for every symptom there is more than one cause.
