Does anyone know what the difference is between a plain Visa Check card and a Gold Visa Check card?

I just found out that I'm eligible for all kinds of perk accounts with my bank, but I've noticed that they don't seem to have a requirement for upgrading to the Gold Visa Check Card from the regular one. A check of Visa's site really doesent seem to indicate what's different aside from how cool your new card will look.
